DUNNELLON – A piece of American history was stolen from a Florida Highlands home, and sheriff’s deputies are looking to find the person or persons responsible.
A vintage 1932 Ford coupe, estimated to have a value of $20, 000 was reported stolen from a resident in the 15600 block of Southwest 90th Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
A neighbor told a deputy that he was driving home when he noticed his neighbor’s garage door was open. The neighbor said the home has been vacant for six months and the classic Ford that was in the garage was missing.
The owner, who didn’t want to be identified, told the Star-Banner that the car was owned by a family member who purchased it in Florida in 2000. The owner said the car was covered and in the garage.
